Feldspathic Veneers
At Spa Dental we offer a range of different veneer options, one of which are Feldspathic Veneers.
What are Feldspathic veneers?
Feldspathic veneers are a type of dental veneer that are made of a glass-like ceramic, called feldspar. They are created by painting extremely thin layers of porcelain and then baking this in an oven.
This is quite a tricky process and can take several attempts to produce the right veneer contour.
With Feldspathic Veneers, the dentist will be able to give you a cleaner look by toning down any discoloration or imperfections on your teeth.
How long do Feldspathic veneers last?
Feldspathic porcelain is an excellent material for strengthening teeth because it bonds with enamel. The new veneer actually strengthens your pearly whites, giving them greater durability than ever before! Typically, feldspathic veneers will need to be replaced after around 7-10 years.
How much do Feldspathic veneers cost?
At Spa Dental, our veneers start from £495.

The receptionists I spoke to on the phone we're very helpful and the dentist got me sorted with anti biotics during my appointment that day and then got me booked in to go back for a proper clean and check up a few weeks later.
I am very happy with the service I have received so far, my husband has also now booked in. The inside is clean, tidy and has a nice look.

When Feldspathic veneers shouldn’t be used
Like with most types of dental veneers, it is important to make certain considerations before making the commitment. Feldspathic veneers should be avoided if:
- The patient regularly grinds their teeth – because the veneers are so thinly structured, continuous grinding could cause the veneers to chip or fracture.
- The teeth have minimal or no enamel left – this type of veneer bonds with enamel, so if the patient’s tooth enamel has worn away, then this type of veneer may not be the most suitable option.
- You are a lover of hard or sticky foods – this could cause damage to the veneers, meaning early replacement would be needed.
