The process
Before your hyperhidrosis treatment begins we will talk you through the process and any hesitations you may have about the procedure. The areas of the skin affected by hyperhidrosis will be injected, the number of injections depends upon the area being treated and the severity of the hyperhidrosis, however, your practitioner at Spa Dental Clinic will go through the process with you beforehand.
The injections shouldn’t cause much pain as the needle used is very thin, however, you may feel a slight discomfort. Once the treatment is completed you may experience a slight tenderness of the area treated for up to 48 hours.
Timescales - will you need follow up treatments?
We would recommend allowing up to 1 hour for the treatment, however, the duration of the procedure can differ depending on the areas being treated, your practitioner will be able to advise you more accurately. The injections will temporarily provide relief from hyperhidrosis for around 2 – 6 months. Repeat appointments will be necessary to keep the hyperhidrosis at bay, once the excessive sweating reoccurs you can book another appointment.
